Capt. John will be bringing tackle suited to the days fishing. There will be enough fishing gear for all aboard to keep fishing for the whole day. Typical gear is in the 20# and 12# class, with heavier gear when appropriate. Quality rods with both Spinning and Conventional reels will be on board. If you have a preference, please tell the Capt. Well in advance so he can rig up gear in advance.

Customers are welcome to bring their own tackle. If you have an arsenal of rods... or only one outfit, but you just love it ...bring it along. Please tell Capt. John well in advance about any rods that you will be bringing along. Don't forget to spool up all your reels with fresh line!!! Appropriate gear will consist of outfits with at least 200 yards line. For novice anglers, 20# test line is recommended. Your connection to that fish out there, is your tackle. Please only consider bringing gear that is in excellent working condition!
